About the role:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced team alongside highly experienced scientists and will interface closely with a multidisciplinary team of immunology, molecular biology, and bioinformatics scientists. Specifically, they will contribute to the Molecular Profiling team performing high throughput profiling of clinical and experimental samples using single cell multiomics, flow cytometry and bulk RNA-seq. The successful candidate will be an excellent team player, agile in thought, energetic, and willing to learn new methods and skills.

Location: NYC, New York (on-site position)

What will you do?

  • Augment the team’s molecular profiling efforts using a wide range of techniques including single cell genomics, NGS library preparation, bulk RNAseq and flow cytometry
  • Maintain a complete, accurate, and timely electronic record of all experiments using an information management system
  • Document, compile and assist with interpreting experimental data
  • Work with supervisor to plan project requirements and timelines
  • Operate and maintain automated laboratory equipment to complete investigations
  • Prepare, order, and maintain stocks of necessary reagents, solutions, and supplies
  • Actively participate in cross-functional team meetings and communicate effectively with other members of the lab, computational biology, and software team

Requirements

Required qualifications:

  • BS degree or higher in Biology or related field required
  • Must possess at least 2-4 years of experience in a research laboratory, ability to work without supervision
  • Must possess a familiarity with molecular biology techniques and sterile techniques
  • Must possess a familiarity with single cell multiomics and NGS library preparation
  • Strong analytical skills, problem solving ability, and innovation aptitude required
  • Must be willing to discover and learn new software and technology applications quickly
  • Must have strong attention to detail and an ability to multi-task
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively work as part of a team are essential
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Compensation: This position offers a salary typically between $85,000 - $95,000. There is an opportunity to consider higher compensation above this range based on business need, candidate experience, and or skills.
