About the role

As LimitlessCNC’s first QA Engineer, you’ll be responsible for building the QA function from scratch: defining our testing strategy, processes, and tools across the product lifecycle. You’ll collaborate closely with software, algorithm and product teams to ensure every release meets our standards of performance, precision, and reliability. You’ll combine a strategic mindset with hands-on execution: designing scalable QA processes, writing test plans and automation strategies.

What you’ll do

• Take ownership of release quality by creating and maintaining test plans, regression suites, and clear release sign-off processes.
• Design and grow scalable testing frameworks that support manual, automated, integration, and regression testing.
• Proactively identify risk areas and focus testing efforts on high-impact and fragile components.
• Work closely with developers and product managers to shape clear, testable requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Lead the introduction of automation by evaluating and implementing solutions for functional, API, and performance testing.
• Build and manage an effective defect lifecycle, from reporting and triage to prioritization and meaningful metrics.
• Help establish solid QA infrastructure, including test environments, data practices, and CI/CD integration.

Who you are

• 3+ years of experience in QA.
• Experience with multidisciplinary products integrating complex frameworks and features.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, CI/CD, and automation best practices.
• Comfortable being both strategic and hands-on, from writing test cases to executing them.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a flexible mindset.
• Passion for precision, performance, and creating products that users can trust and love.

Nice to have

• Experience with CAD/CAM software or manufacturing software is a strong advantage.
• Experience testing desktop applications, plug-ins, or simulation-based software.
• Experience integrating QA into a CI/CD pipeline (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
